Fast Weight Loss, Is It Healthy?
"Lose thirty pounds in thirty days!" We have all herd claims from weight loss programs saying that their products can cause fast weight loss but is it healthy?
Studies have shown that fast weight loss can do more harm than good. If you go on a low calorie diet for thirty days and lose twenty five pounds, most of the weight you have lost is water and muscle tissue! The truth is you haven't even lost that much fat.
Your body thinks you are starving (and you are!) and goes into survival mode and begins to store fat, not burn it. Your body becomes your own worst enemy and begins to work against you.
Two to Three pounds of fat per week is the most you should lose in a healthy weight loss atmosphere.
Moderate exercise and a healthy diet will melt away those unwanted pounds and you don't have to risk your health.
Fast weight loss is not the answer for permenant weight loss, slow and steady is. Remember, it took time to put on those extra pounds and it will take time to get them off.
